Used for formation of T3 and T4 thyroid hormones, L-tyrosine is also an important precursor for brain-stimulating catecholamines (dopamine, norepinephrine, and adrenaline) which support stress response mechanisms and ability to concentrate.
Tyrosine supplementation:
a. Compensates for the age related decline in Tyrosine metabolism
b. Supports fat loss regimens as follows:
- may reduce appetite
- maintains NE (Norepinephrine) production which stimulates fat release from the fat cells
c. Supports the brain Dopamine/ Norepinephrine production, thus providing support for:
- cognitive performance (memory and learning) and uplifted mood
- mood disorders associated with oral contraceptive use
- anti-depressant therapies whether natural or pharmacological
- maintenance of an alert state in spite of inadequate sleep
- therapies for Dopamine related addictions (cocaine, amphetamine, smoking), Phenylketonuria, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's
- therapies for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
d. Supports the Dopamine/Norepineprine/ Epinephrine production by the adrenal gland and consequently:
- compensates for adrenaline depletion states such as excessive psychological or physical stress and dieting
- prevents excessive rises in cortisol levels
e. Improves stamina for exercise by providing the precursor to E/NE release from nerve endings
f. Precursor to Thyroid hormone
g. Precursor to Melanin, which is protective against UV radiation
Suggested Use: 1 to 4 capsules daily between meals.
